Provincetown Library looked so elegant in the early evening sunlight, that I knew I would be painting it when I returned to England. The building used to be a Methodist Church and it holds a special fascination for artists on Cape Cod. For two months I studied the dazzling blue skies of New England and the architectural details of the Library, resulting in my first oil painting for ten years.

91.4 cm x 61 cm / 36 inches x 24 inches stretched cotton canvas, 1.9 cm / 0.74 inches deep, 350gsm / 12.3 oz canvas weight, 1.35 kg / 2.97 ilbs product weight. Stretched by hand, acid-free, archival canvas primed with highly pigmented titanium dioxide Gesso. Professionally constructed, crafted from kiln-dried solid Fir and Paulownia wood, the stretcher bars are rigorously tested for warp-resistance. The canvas is stapled at the back with folded uncut corners. Wood keys have been added to further adjust the tension of the canvas.
There are two options for shipping: crated and rolled which you can choose at checkout. Both options will be tracked and signed for. Crated is a reinforced cardboard box, sealed, padded and insulated.
Rolled involves unpicking the canvas from its frame and rolling it in frictionless paper. It will then be sealed, padded and posted in a reinforced cardboard tube inside a box. You can then have the canvas restretched to your satisfaction.
The rolled option is recommended for international freight.
By default this is the rolled option. You can select the crated option above.
